The battlefield is going silent.
In a shocking but not entirely unexpected move, Activision has officially confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will shut down permanently on April 17, 2026. After that date, the servers will go offline — and the mobile Battle Royale will no longer be playable.
This marks the final chapter for a game that launched with massive hype but ultimately failed to live up to expectations.
Warzone Mobile Servers Going Offline – What You Need to Know
Activision announced via its official website that:
-
📅 Servers shut down on April 17, 2026
-
📱 Players who already have the game installed can continue playing until that date
-
❌ The game is no longer available on app stores
-
💰 No refunds for unused COD Points or purchased content
If you still have Warzone Mobile installed, you can access the game and use your previously purchased content — but only until April 17, 2026. After that, it’s permanently over.
Activision also made it clear:
Unused COD Points will NOT be refunded.
Players are advised to spend remaining in-game currency before the shutdown deadline.
Why Is Warzone Mobile Shutting Down?
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile officially launched on March 21, 2024, for iOS and Android. It brought fan-favorite maps like:
🏙️ Verdansk
🏝️ Rebirth Island
The goal was simple: deliver an authentic Warzone Battle Royale experience on mobile.
But despite strong branding and connection to the main Warzone ecosystem, the game struggled to attract and retain mobile-first players.
In May 2025, Activision made the first big move by removing the game from:
Google Play Store
Apple App Store
At that time, they also stopped future seasonal updates and new content.
According to Activision:
While we're proud of bringing Warzone to mobile in an authentic way, it unfortunately did not meet our expectations with mobile-first players as it did with PC and console audiences.
No More Purchases Allowed
Since May 19, 2025:
-
💳 Real-money purchases have been disabled
-
🛍️ The game was fully delisted from app stores
-
🔄 No new seasonal content has been released
Players can only use what they already own — nothing more.
What’s Next for Call of Duty on Mobile?
While Warzone Mobile is ending, Activision is continuing support for:
Call of Duty: Mobile
This version still offers:
-
Multiplayer modes
-
Battle Royale
-
Zombies
-
Seasonal updates
Activision has reassured fans that player feedback will continue shaping the future of the franchise.
The End of the Road
Warzone Mobile had big ambitions — bringing the iconic Warzone experience to your pocket. But in the competitive mobile gaming space, expectations are high and player loyalty is tough to win.
On April 17, 2026, the servers will go dark — permanently.
If you’re still playing, now’s the time to:
-
Use your remaining COD Points
-
Enjoy final matches
-
Say goodbye to Verdansk one last time
The war is ending… at least on mobile.
